  • Overview

    Tech-24 is looking for a motivated and mechanically inclined individual to be the Commercial Foodservice Jr Technician for our Louisville, KY area. The Foodservice JR Technician provides customer service in the field to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial cooking, refrigeration and/or HVAC equipment. This is a great opportunity to get into the food service repair industry.


    • Properly troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial cooking, refrigeration, and/or HVAC equipment.
    • Completes routine preventative maintenance as needed.
    • Provides the highest level of service to the customer and professionally communicate the service needed to customers and branch office.
    • Defines service problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions about work needed to be performed.
    • Legibly completes paperwork for all services performed on behalf of the customer.
    • Follows safe work practices and accident prevention procedures.
    • Maintains a neat and orderly truck, along with accurate part and tool inventory.
    • Maintains productivity levels in accordance with company standards.


    Physical Demands:

    • Climb stairs and ladders.
    • Moderate to heavy lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. or maneuvering heavier items with additional manpower or appropriate devices.
    • Requires walking, standing, driving, sitting, squatting, kneeling, reaching overhead, bending, twisting, and turning.
    • Must be able to use hands for fine manipulation of hand tools.


    • High school graduate/GED or the equivalent
    • One (1) year of experience in food service equipment repair, or in a related area. (Will consider ex-military or school)
    • Refrigeration technicians must be EPA certified.
    • CEFESA certified is a plus.
    • Background experience in gas, electric, and/or steam repairs is a plus.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license.
    • Own industry’s standard hand tools.
    • Excellent organizational skills.
    • Must be able to work rotational on-call as needed.
    • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
