    Technicians are responsible for driving our company vehicle to and from customer sites to diagnose and repair commercial kitchen equipment and/or refrigeration equipment.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide excellent customer service
    • Properly diagnose and repair commercial food equipment and/or refrigeration equipment
    • Fill out work orders completely and legibly
    • Work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated with customer
    • Define service problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions about work needed to be performed
    • Effectively communicate with the following:
      • Customers - regarding repairs
      • Dispatch - regarding status of service
      • Parts - to order correct parts
      • Field Manager or Team Leader on difficult calls
      • Factories as needed for help diagnosing problems with the equipment
    • Return to warranty specialist any warranty parts
    • Maintain safe driving habits always while operating company provided fleet vehicle
    • Maintain company vehicle itself, including: cleanliness, organizing inventory, keeping it fueled and serviced for regular oil changes and other maintenance services
    • Participate in continuous education such as industry training

    Qualifications

    • High school graduate/GED or the equivalent
    • Minimum three (3) years’ experience with commercial kitchen equipment and/or refrigeration equipment
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Must be available for overtime calls and weekend service schedules
    • Able to concentrate, handle pressure, meet deadlines and pay attention to detail
    • Good computer skills
    • Accurately and promptly completes required paperwork
    • Own basic hand tools
    • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
    • Successfully complete and pass: a criminal background check, drug test, and driver's license check

    Physical Demands:

    • Requires walking, standing, driving, sitting, squatting, kneeling, reaching overhead, and twisting and turning
    • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders and lift/carry up to 50 pounds
    • Sitting in auto for extended periods
    • Requires normal range of hearing and vision
